Performance Pack Noob Question Empty Performance Pack Noob Question

    Post by Koen1911 2/22/2012, 6:03 pm

    Hey guys !

Once again, awesome work on the overhaul !
I've already been looking through the files and noticed how organised everything is, but for the Performance Pack I have a really, really nooby question.

Where do I put the .dll files ? My guess would first go to the main Skyrim folder (where the launcher is), but I don't have any experience with actual changes in the executable's, just file replacements/edits. This has probably been asked a number of times but I couldn't find an answer to this question as of yet.

If I see someone else asking the same thing after this question has been answered, I'll try to answer those questions. On other sorts of questions, I've got a lot of modding experience so I'll to helping anyone that might be in some trouble with this overhaul, over here and on the Nexus !

    Thanks !

No worries, I do answer that question a bit.. and actually I'm going to make a sticky post after I write this out haha.

You simply place the contents of the Performance pack in your main Skyrim directory. You probably noticed that when you extracted the contents from the download it came in a folder called "Performance pack" we did that so users wouldn't be tempted to just throw it in the data folder.

Yeah, I did notice that, it's what I did with my Conversion Mod folder that I talked about in the introduction subforum, if there's any Data folder present in the .rar archive, you know you have to extract it in the main folder. I see many similarities in the way we organize ! Well, I guess it's just called "keep things clean, easy to understand and don't change the method you're using, ever"

I can't wait to test out this performance pack (with the actual overhaul), I'll have to reinstall Skyrim since it was overmodded and lost stability, but when I do I'll share my thoughts !

Thanks for the quick response !

Hi there. I'm copying the contents of the preformance pack (it only contains a juiced.dll file) and nothingseems to happen. My fps remain the same. What am I doing wrong? Please, assist. Thanks

On my laptop, I'm running an ati 5200 (I think, it's a pretty crappy card in a toshiba satellite.)
In my Desktop, I have a radeon 6700.
